West 54TH Street, New York NY

Within the shell of a pre-war 1920’s historic building, I designed a modern loft space. I started with brushed Cappuccino Turkish stone for the floors and recessed track lighting to give the space a cool lightness- like a chic gallery space. The bathroom design was inspired by the aquatic Antigua stone marble floors and glass block accents. I used oversized frames to highlight the windows and doorways and to draw attention to the high ceilings. I angled one wall to open up the living room and called attention to the asymmetric space with the juxtaposed right angles of the perimeter walls.
