Wayne, New Jersey

The floors fold upwards to create a wall and continue overhead to form the ceiling.  Like an undulating ribbon, this four-story house is nestled within a single curved expression.  The design also extends to a cantilevered driveway, as if a strip of the road stretched out to meet the house.  Trees poke through the gaps from below. The ribbon house makes use of the dramatic change in grade from the street level down to the cliff side at the back of the property.
